This quick and easy appetizer uses the simple saltiness of prosciutto as a perfect counterpoint to the sweet flavor of the Kumato™. This dish is beautiful served on a platter with large basil leaves.
Makes 16 pieces
4 SUNSET® Kumato™ Tomatoes, quartered vertically
4 thin slices of prosciutto, quartered
extra-virgin olive oil
coarse sea salt & coarse-cracked black pepper
minced or grated lemon zest (optional)
Wrap each tomato quarter with 1/4 prosciutto slice. Drizzle lightly with oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper and lemon zest.
